Why Web Review submissions get rejected or stall
- Free listing without a backlink to Web Review
- Ahrefs Domain Rating below 5 for free listings
- Removing the Web Review badge after listing
- Submitting content related to cryptocurrency, adult content, gambling, or illegal services
- Using an AI-written SEO description for free listings
Tips for a listing that gets approved
- If you have a DR below 5, choose Premium Listing to skip the backlink and DR requirement.
- Keep the badge on your site permanently; removal triggers instant delisting.
- For free listings, write a unique, human-written description—AI-written SEO descriptions are not allowed.
- Premium listings get three dofollow backlinks instead of one.
Our take on Web Review
Web Review is a good fit for startups and SaaS with a DR of 5 or higher that can permanently display a badge. The free listing provides a dofollow backlink and an AI review, but the 2-week wait and badge requirement may deter some. The $9 premium option is cheap for instant approval and three backlinks.
