Why Alternative.tools submissions get rejected or stall
- Domain Rating below 25
- Fewer than 1,000 monthly visitors
- Missing permanent backlink badge on free plan
- Low-quality or non-valuable product
- Prohibited content (as specified in submission guidelines)
Tips for a listing that gets approved
- If your DR is below 25, consider the Premium or Review Article plans, which do not have DR or traffic requirements.
- The free plan requires a permanent badge; removing it later will result in instant delisting.
- Premium and Review Article listings are published instantly, so they are the fastest way to get a backlink.
- The Review Article plan is best for AI visibility, as it creates a long-form review that AI models can cite.
Our take on Alternative.tools
Alternative.tools is a good fit for SaaS, AI, and productivity tools with a DR of 25+ and decent traffic that want a dofollow backlink and AI visibility. The free plan is viable if you can commit to a permanent badge, but the paid plans offer instant listing and more backlinks without the badge requirement. Expect a straightforward submission process with clear pricing and no recurring fees.
