Why All Mac Apps submissions get rejected or stall
- App is not a native macOS app (e.g., web-only SaaS)
- Missing required icon or screenshot files
- Screenshot does not meet size requirements (1280×800, 1440×900, 2560×1600, or 2880×1800)
- No distribution method selected (Direct download, Mac App Store, or Homebrew)
- Incomplete or inaccurate information in the submission form
Tips for a listing that gets approved
- Use a high-quality icon and screenshot that accurately represent your app's interface.
- If your app is on the Mac App Store, provide the direct URL to improve discoverability.
- For Homebrew apps, enter only the cask token (e.g., 'firefox'), not the full brew command.
- Select the correct pricing model and indicate if a free trial is available to set user expectations.
